Privacy Policy

Who we are

Alonzy (alonzy.co.uk) is a holiday destination finder. If you have any questions about this policy or your data, contact us at Alonzy@goldenash.com.

Information we collect

We collect the minimum information needed to provide the service:

• Account information — if you create an account, we store your email address and authentication details via our provider, Supabase. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google.
• Favourites — destinations you save are linked to your account so they're available next time you sign in.
• Booked trips — if you mark a trip as booked, we store the destination, resort, dates and your chosen reminder window so we can show you packing guidance closer to departure.

We do not collect payment information — Alonzy does not process bookings or payments. All bookings are made on third-party sites (see "Links to other sites" below).

Cookies and similar technologies

Alonzy uses one cookie, which is strictly necessary for the site to function:

• Authentication cookie — set by Supabase when you sign in, so you stay signed in between visits.

Saving favourites and booked trips requires an account, and that data is stored only in our database (via Supabase) — not in your browser.

We also use Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights, which are cookieless and do not track individuals — they provide us with aggregated, anonymous statistics about page views and site performance.

Because all of the above are either strictly necessary or fully anonymous and cookieless, Alonzy does not currently show a cookie consent banner. If this changes (for example, if we add non-essential analytics in future), we'll update this policy and add a consent banner before doing so.

Other services we use

• Supabase — hosts our database and handles authentication.
• OpenWeatherMap — provides weather and forecast data. Only geographic coordinates are sent; no personal data.
• Unsplash — provides destination photography, served from Unsplash's own content delivery network.
• Google — if you choose "Continue with Google" to sign in.
• Vercel — hosts the site and provides the analytics described above.

Links to other sites

Alonzy links to third-party booking sites including Skyscanner, Kayak, Booking.com, TUI and others, so you can search for and book flights, hotels and holidays. Alonzy does not share your account information with these sites. Once you click through, you're subject to that site's own privacy policy and terms — we'd encourage you to review them.

How long we keep your data

We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account at any time — see "Your rights" below — which permanently removes your account, favourites and booked trips.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and to ask for a copy of it. You can:

• Delete your account at any time from your account menu — this immediately and permanently deletes your account, favourites and booked trips.
• Request a copy of your data or ask any other question about your data by emailing Alonzy@goldenash.com.

Children

Alonzy is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent changes.
